Currently, when typing an entry into a select or multiselect field, anything is accepted when user hits enter.  I.e., if the user makes a typo or uses an alt spelling for an existing entry, a new entry is created.  This creates a task of cleaning and normalizing options and data after the fact.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have a “Confirm New Entry” toggle for gmulti]select fields?  If set, then a user is prompted to confirm before entering a new option.
