Important Update: Single Sign-On (SSO) for the Airtable Community will be required effective June 2ndNews

Hey Airtable Community! We're excited to announce an upcoming change that will streamline your experience within our vibrant community. Effective June 2nd, the Airtable Community will exclusively support login via Single Sign-On (SSO). This means the option to log in with a separate username and password will no longer be available after this date. What does this mean for you?This transition to SSO will provide a more unified login process. We believe this change will ultimately benefit everyone in the community. How do you swap over to SSO?The good news is that for most of you, the switch will be completely seamless! If the email address you currently use for your Airtable Community profile matches the email address associated with the SSO login you use to access Airtable, you won't need to do anything special. Share them in the comments below!  While it’s major travel season with summer breaks and all, we can’t forget to celebrate our members who continue to log in and help the community when they could be enjoying sunshine and the pool/beach. So here’s another celebration post for our Top Contributors in May!Reminder, top contributors are our outstanding members who elevate the Airtable experience for all by imparting knowledge and bringing a spirit of positivity and encouragement to the community. When recognizing our Top Contributors, we look at the quantitative data (e.g. likes received, answers given), as well as the quality to make sure everyone follows our Community Code of Conduct and Guidelines in their activity. In May, our Top Contributors provided 38 answers, 414 replies, and received 156 likes. 🛠️ Recent interface improvements to dashboards

Hey Airtable Community! I'm ​@Ayesha_Bose from the Product team, and excited to share some small updates we’ve made to the Dashboard Layout in Interfaces recently over the last few weeks.These are some quick changes to help you build better dashboards and make it easier for you to use.You can now add, delete, and edit records directly in Dashboards! For example, if you have a List view in your Dashboard, you can give your users the ability to directly edit those records. We now support the Calendar view. We now support the Kanban view. We’d love to hear what you think about these improvements or if there’s any other areas of the dashboard layout you’d like to see improved.We’ve got more core improvements coming very soon, including one of our top requests from the Community next week — stay tuned! 🍿🌑😎

New: Portals Beta

Hello! I’m Ayesha, a Product Manager here at Airtable. We’re so excited to announce that we now have Portals available in Beta for customers to unlock guest access for their organization.   What are Portals and why would you use them? With Portals, you’ll be able to invite users outside of your organization as guest users to your interfaces. These guest users will see a custom sign-in screen and be able to collaborate inside your interfaces together. You can now securely store and use sensitive information like API keys, passwords, and tokens in your Automation scripts without exposing them in plain text.Why Secrets MatterWhen connecting to external services in Run Script Actions, you may need to include sensitive credentials directly in your script code.
